Associate Proposals Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Compose, revise, and submit responses to RFIs, RFPs, and security questionnaires for commercial and public sector prospects using AI tools and best practices aligned with APMP.

• Collaborate with Account Executives and Account Managers from the initial intake to final submission to refine evaluator-facing messaging, pinpoint differentiators, and ensure timely responses.

• Work alongside subject matter experts from Product, Security, Legal, and Customer Success to confirm technical, compliance, and contractual responses.

• Utilize Fleetio's internal AI response tools to produce initial answers based on approved source materials, then refine them for tone, clarity, and winning themes.

• Monitor response outcomes, including progression, win rates, and closed-won ARR impact, while identifying trends for Sales leadership.

• Enhance the SRM workflow, intake procedures, and tools, incorporating battle card integration, competitive positioning, and documentation.

• Represent SRM in internal reviews, pursuit synchronization meetings, and Sales enablement sessions.

• Advance towards independently managing smaller RFIs and security questionnaires, leading mid-sized RFPs from start to finish, and suggesting workflow or content enhancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of two years of practical experience in managing or drafting RFx responses (RFIs, RFPs, security questionnaires, or vendor assessments) for commercial or public sector clients.

• Exceptional business writing skills: clear English, active voice, specificity over generality, with the capability to transform technical input into evaluator-friendly responses.

• Proven experience in coordinating contributions from cross-functional team members under tight deadlines, managing multiple simultaneous responses without oversight.

• A detail-oriented approach: you notice question numbering, column mapping, submission formatting, and compliance requirements prior to submission.

• Ability to work comfortably in a remote, collaborative environment using asynchronous communication tools, including Slack, Google Workspace, and shared documentation platforms.

• Experience in responding to RFx opportunities for a software or SaaS company, along with familiarity with security questionnaires like CAIQ, SIG, or SOC 2 artifacts. (Preferred)

• APMP certification at Foundation, Practitioner, or Professional level. (Preferred)

• Knowledge of public sector procurement processes, cooperative contracts, and state and local government RFP formats. (Preferred)

• Familiarity with fleet management, telematics, maintenance software, or a related operational B2B software category. (Preferred)

• Comfort with AI-assisted drafting tools and prompt-based content creation. (Preferred)
