This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +44 more states.
• Design and take ownership of frameworks for measuring outcomes that focus on clinical enhancement, sustained functionality, and productivity restoration across the platform.
• Analyze longitudinal data on outcomes and convert findings into actionable insights.
• Develop validated and scalable methods for evaluating clinical effectiveness.
• Collaborate with Data, Product, Tech, and Legal teams to enhance outcomes infrastructure.
• Establish quality metrics and benchmarks to assess the effectiveness of clinical programs.
• Lead original research initiatives from design through to dissemination.
• Co-author research studies with external academic collaborators.
• Write and submit peer-reviewed articles for prominent clinical and health services research journals.
• Manage the publication pipeline, including collaboration, journal selection, and revision processes.
• Develop and sustain a research agenda that aligns with clinical strategy, product innovation, and market positioning.
• Transform findings into evidence-based assets for enterprise clients, health plan partners, and benefits consultants.
• Collaborate on VOI/ROI analyses to quantify workforce and financial impacts.
• Provide Sales and Client Management with evidence-based talking points, RFP content, and data narratives.
• Create case study frameworks and customized outcome reports for employers.
• Monitor the digital mental health evidence landscape and track competitive benchmarks.
• Advise Product, Value Management, Data, and Go-to-Market teams on evidence strategy and communication.
• Present research outcomes to both internal leadership and external stakeholders.
• Identify gaps in evidence, prioritize research areas, and explore opportunities for external validation.
• Assist with regulatory and compliance-related evidence requirements, including quality reporting and accreditation documentation.
• PhD in Clinical Psychology, Health Services Research, Epidemiology, Public Health, Behavioral Science, or a related discipline.
• 5–8 years of postdoctoral or industry research experience; prior experience in digital health, managed behavioral health, or health plan environments is preferred.
• Record of peer-reviewed publications in mental health, digital health, or health outcomes research.
• Proficiency in longitudinal data analysis and expertise in at least one statistical software platform: R, Python, SPSS, Stata, or equivalent.
• Experience in designing and conducting IRB-approved studies utilizing real-world or platform data.
• Familiarity with mental health PROMs, including WHO-5, PHQ-9, and GAD-7.
• Capability to translate findings into accessible language for non-research audiences.
• Ability to generate evidence with commercial relevance and collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Legal, and Product teams.
• Skills to represent findings externally and present to academic peers and executive audiences.
• Must maintain work authorization for the entirety of employment without employer sponsorship or training plans.
• This position is not eligible for performance in Hawaii.
