Associate Medical Director, Behavioral Health

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in the management of psychiatrists within the Behavioral Health practice.

• Support the daily clinical operations of healthcare providers.

• Aid in the hiring, interviewing, communication, and performance management of practice staff.

• Engage in innovative approaches to care delivery models.

• Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing care delivery, member satisfaction, and clinician experience within the Behavioral Health service line.

• Evaluate clinical documentation for accuracy, sound clinical judgment, and compliance with evidence-based protocols and workflows.

• Analyze quality-metric dashboards to identify potential issues and notify relevant managers.

• Recommend and assist in crafting individual performance improvement programs.

• Handle clinician escalations and ensure contract compliance.

• Identify quality improvement initiatives and guide teams towards achieving quality objectives.

• Assist in clinician communications and disseminate practice announcements.

• Allocate at least 10% of time to providing clinical care to patients on the platform.

• Ensure timely completion and maintenance of charting and documentation.

• Perform additional administrative tasks and projects as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• MD or DO with a minimum of 5 years of clinical experience post-residency.

• At least 2 years of experience in patient care on a virtual care platform.

• Preferred minimum of 2 years of leadership experience.

• Must be a licensed provider in good standing with relevant state board(s).

• Must be self-driven and capable of working independently.

• Strong communication skills with patients and fellow clinicians are essential.

• Eligible candidates must fulfill all clinical and educational criteria as specified in the Clinician Employment Agreement.
