Director, Clinical Business Strategy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Design, execute, and oversee initiatives aimed at accelerating transformation and growth within the clinical market business portfolio.

• Develop business strategies based on clinical customer challenges utilizing Hitachi's solutions, products, and technologies.

• Collaborate with Hitachi Group business units to validate hypotheses regarding business strategies.

• Assist in the implementation of actionable plans for full-scale commercialization.

• Work alongside internal and external stakeholders, including business units, executives, customers, partners, competitors, and investors.

• Support initiatives for alliance and inorganic growth led by business divisions.

• Ensure adherence to industry regulations and security standards.

• Contribute to the development and transformation of the clinical business while establishing partnerships for sustainable, future-ready solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master’s or PhD degree in biomedical, biotechnology, bioinformatics, or a related field is preferred.

• An MBA degree is preferred but not a requirement.

• Over 10 years of experience in the clinical, biotechnology, and life sciences sectors.

• At least 5 years of experience in business development.

• A proven track record in engaging with customers and partners, alongside project management.

• Technical skills in business development, including term sheet creation, IP review, profit and loss modeling, quality agreements, and supply agreements.

• In-depth knowledge of the biotech, life science, and hospital industries.

• Capability to ensure compliance with industry regulations and security standards.
