Associate Legal Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Review, draft, and negotiate commercial contracts, encompassing vendor, service, marketing, sponsorship, affiliate, NDA, and data-processing agreements.

• Examine corporate, regulatory, and commercial documents to ensure accuracy and consistency.

• Oversee the legal library, contract repository, templates, standard clauses, contract register, key dates, and internal knowledge base.

• Assist in litigation and administrative proceedings by collecting evidence, monitoring deadlines, coordinating with external counsel, and preparing case summaries.

• Perform legal and regulatory research and draft memos and opinions at a junior level.

• Support corporate housekeeping, including entity records, corporate actions, registrations, and filings.

• Facilitate regulatory and certification processes, involving audits, regulator submissions, certificate tracking, and communication with testing laboratories.

• Aid Compliance teams in Brazil, Mexico, and other regions with policy drafting, regulatory checks, and internal processes.

• Manage internal legal inquiries from Product, Marketing, Finance, and HR teams under the guidance of Legal Counsel.

• Create reports, dashboards, and status updates for leadership and stakeholders.

• Oversee certification and compliance projects from initiation to completion.

• Collaborate with external certification bodies, testing labs, third-party vendors, and regulators.

⛳️ Requirements

• A completed Bachelor's degree in Law and active membership in the BAR.

• Proficiency in both English and Spanish (written and spoken) is essential.

• Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.

• Capability to handle multiple certification tracks simultaneously.

• An analytical mindset with the ability to grasp technical standards (software, testing, gaming).

• Proactive attitude and effective communication skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively across teams and with external entities.

• Familiarity with the games, betting, sports, and igaming industry is preferred.

• Experience in media contract management is advantageous.

• Background or coursework in contracts and regulatory law, litigation support, or in-house legal routines (including internships) is preferred.
