Associate, Finance Shared Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Examine daily banking operations and allocate customer payments to outstanding accounts receivable balances.

• Oversee, generate, and uphold bank balance reports to ensure cash visibility and facilitate reconciliation.

• Document cash receipts and enter corresponding general ledger journal entries.

• Reconcile accounts receivable with cash application activities; address discrepancies and variances.

• Investigate and resolve intercompany, unapplied, and unidentified cash items.

• Liaise with internal teams and customer accounts payable representatives to gather remittance details and address payment identification challenges.

• Update management on cash application progress, aging of unapplied cash, payment exceptions, and collection issues.

• Inform program teams about collection risks, payment delays, and customer-specific concerns.

• Assess workflows and suggest enhancements, standardization, and automation opportunities.

• Conduct ad hoc analyses and provide operational support.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or a related Business field, or have completed a Bachelor’s degree within the last 12 months.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and Outlook.

• Advanced skills in Excel.

• Familiarity with banking platforms, cash application tools, and financial systems that support receivables and treasury operations.

• Experience in supporting process improvement or automation projects.

• Ability to analyze data and resolve issues swiftly.

• Capacity to work with minimal supervision and independently.

• Skill in identifying root causes and recommending scalable solutions.

• Capability to escalate issues to management when necessary.

• Proficient in collaborating across functions and working independently or as part of a team.
