This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities through professional, consultative, and proactive sales initiatives.
• Drive outcomes through strategic business planning activities and effective relationship management.
• Maintain a robust pipeline of new business prospects and accounts.
• Collaborate with senior management and functional leaders.
• Research and pinpoint target markets.
• Build relationships and deliver comprehensive presentations, strategic analyses, and execution of implemented strategies.
• Support the marketing team with lead generation, message positioning, conference participation, and prospect development initiatives.
• Utilize company resources and tools, such as marketing materials, speaker programs, and regional trade shows.
• Complete administrative responsibilities, including CRM utilization and weekly reporting.
• Develop and nurture key cross-functional relationships, particularly with senior leadership.
• Partner with management to enhance sales strategy, implementation, adoption, and process efficiency.
• Bachelor's degree; advanced degree is preferred.
• Over 5 years of Business Development experience, ideally in B2B sales with a prominent eClinical technology provider or CRO.
• Extensive knowledge of the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors, clinical trials, and drug development and commercialization (strongly preferred).
• Proven leadership capabilities to build relationships, communicate effectively, and influence various organizational levels to facilitate positive change.
• Demonstrated success in delivering results and achieving targets.
• Established history of meeting or exceeding sales objectives.
• Expertise in creating, driving, and executing solutions from strategy through to implementation.
• Familiarity with CRM tools/platforms; adept at managing contacts and opportunities/funnels.
• Strong strategic business acumen and understanding of industry trends and impacts.
• Proven success in developing mid-level and high-level contacts.
• Ability to evaluate and generate opportunities, crafting effective selling messages, presentations, and proposals.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: MS PowerPoint, MS Word, and MS Excel.
• Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Willingness to travel 50% of the time.
• Experience in cross-functional interaction and collaboration.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to offer practical solutions.
