This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Lead the RTX Enterprise Quality Audit team.
• Supervise Enterprise Quality Auditors to ensure adherence to quality management system requirements.
• Build and nurture partnerships with Business Units and independent certification authorities.
• Implement the organizational strategic direction and objectives.
• Participate in initiatives for optimizing the Quality Management System.
• Cultivate collaborative relationships with functional and business leaders.
• Communicate with executive leadership regarding matters of significant organizational relevance.
• Develop and execute functional processes and procedures that impact functional outcomes.
• Oversee compliance-related improvement projects and processes.
• Assist Business Unit Advance Surveillance Recertification Procedure (ASRP) initiatives, including office audits, witness audits, and management review initiatives for central functions.
• Review and manage audit finding appeal requests.
• Aid Business Units with certification-body site surveillance and recertification audits, covering audit schedules, logistics, and corrective-action closure.
• Establish, revise, and provide direction for organizational metrics.
• Analyze audit performance to pinpoint trends, risks, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Propose and spearhead enterprise-level improvement initiatives utilizing CORE methodologies.
• Present audit data analytics and suggested actions to leadership.
• Develop and mentor team members while building a robust talent pipeline.
• Support special audits, independent assessments, site certifications, suspensions, major customer complaints, and high-risk sites as necessary.
• A University Degree with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field with a minimum of 10 years of experience, or, in the absence of a degree, 16 years of pertinent experience.
• Knowledge of Quality Audit programs and industry regulations.
• Familiarity with ISO9001 and AS91XX standards.
• AS9100 Lead Auditor Certification.
• Capability to obtain Aerospace Auditor (AA) or Aerospace Experienced Auditor (AEA) certification within one year.
• Ability to acquire and maintain a secret U.S. government-issued security clearance.
• U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
• An active and existing security clearance is required from day 1.
• Willingness to travel up to 70% domestically and internationally.
• Aerospace Auditor (AA) or Aerospace Experienced Auditor (AEA) certification is preferred.
• Experience in Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) and Regulatory (FAA/EASA/CAA) is preferred.
• CORE Champion certification is preferred.
• Experience with QMS Certified Bodies (3rd Party) and Advance Surveillance Reduction Procedure (ASRP) is preferred.
• Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), or CORE Certification is preferred.
• Strong analytical abilities and capacity to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
• Proficiency in audit management tools, data analytics, and reporting systems.
• Experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing multi-site audit processes.
• Excellent organizational and time-management capabilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills across all organizational levels.
• Working knowledge of Corrective Actions processes/systems.
• Proficiency in presenting audit results and concepts to key stakeholders and executive leadership.
