Associate Director, Product Design

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Oversee hands-on product design execution in collaboration with teams.

• Utilize expertise in product design, design systems, product strategy, and human-centered design.

• Deliver clear, specific, and actionable feedback to project teams.

• Guide clients, present work, manage feedback, and cultivate strong client relationships.

• Propel project success through service design and change-management methodologies.

• Collaborate with the business team to define project scope and identify opportunities for account growth.

• Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing design culture.

• Work closely with Parallel's leadership to sustain team engagement and culture.

• Recruit, mentor, and develop designers while establishing a pipeline of future leaders.

• Represent Parallel within the design community to attract talent and new projects.

• Lead research, strategy, execution, visual design, content design, creative direction, systems design, and brand strategy across various projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in product or UX design.

• Demonstrated experience in managing and mentoring design teams through complex projects while maintaining high standards.

• Exceptional communication and presentation abilities, capable of aligning and influencing a diverse range of stakeholders.

• Experience collaborating cross-functionally to advance business priorities and deliver significant value.

• A portfolio showcasing shipped products that reflect both craftsmanship and strategic insight.

• Proficient use of modern design tools and AI in your work process.

• Familiarity with change management and service design practices.

• Active participation in the design community through writing, speaking engagements, or panel discussions.

• Dedication to inclusive design and a collaborative team environment.
