This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +10 more states.
• Plan, design, implement, and assess training initiatives for new hires as well as ongoing education for MSLs and other GMA team members.
• Collaborate with senior management, Clinical Practice Liaisons, MSL Field Directors, MSLs, Medical Affairs colleagues, and cross-functional partners.
• Supervise the creation of timely, precise, and strategic field resources in conjunction with Medical Communications and Medical Information teams.
• Facilitate the integration of materials into field platforms and organization-wide communications.
• Manage relevant systems, including Veeva Portal, Mobile Locker, and X-Fly Medical Insights.
• Support senior leaders with medical insights inquiries and special initiatives.
• Create customized onboarding plans, oversee mentoring, coordinate training meetings, and maintain onboarding documentation.
• Deliver training through various methods including classroom sessions, demonstrations, on-the-job training, role play, self-study, meetings, conferences, workshops, videoconferencing, and online learning.
• Organize continuous technical training and professional development programs.
• Oversee the creation and updating of field resources such as presentations, FAQs, and talking points.
• Collaborate with Global Medical Affairs, product development teams, and subject-matter experts to create training on diseases and products.
• Prepare budgets and substantiate the funds needed.
• Develop and refine learning plans based on competencies, organizational changes, and external influences.
• Conduct assessments of learning needs and prioritize educational requirements.
• Monitor Medical Affairs strategies and propose, plan, and develop new or enhanced educational programs.
• Assess instructor performance and the effectiveness of learning programs, recommending improvements as necessary.
• Oversee trainers and external vendors/KOLs.
• Identify knowledge gaps, treatment protocols, and guidelines.
• Ensure that work adheres to compliance policies and standards.
• Lead the development of Key Intelligence questions.
• Organize and execute pre-conference data reviews, ensuring that UT data is approved and prepared for field application.
• Bachelor’s Degree in life sciences preferred, with 12+ years of experience in Medical Affairs supporting specialty care compounds/products or clinical practice in PAH/PH-ILD/ILD patient care, or a combination of both.
• Master's Degree, Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA) in relevant clinical areas with at least 10+ years of experience in Medical Affairs supporting specialty care compounds/products or clinical practice in PAH/PH-ILD/ILD patient care, or a combination of both.
• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in relevant clinical areas with a minimum of 7+ years of experience in Medical Affairs supporting specialty care compounds/products or clinical practice in PAH/PH-ILD/ILD patient care, or a combination of both.
• 3+ years of experience in industry medical affairs in HCP-facing roles, or 3+ years of clinical or medical affairs experience in PAH/ILD therapeutic areas.
• Current knowledge of local legal, regulatory, and compliance rules and guidelines pertinent to industry interactions with healthcare professionals.
• Demonstrated ability to operate amidst ambiguity, solve problems effectively, and exhibit flexibility and adaptability.
• Capability to formulate strategic plans, goals, and objectives.
• Strong communication skills at all leadership levels and with individual contributors.
• Experience in cross-functional and departmental collaboration.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, organizational, and time management skills.
• Ability to manage and implement multiple projects within a complex matrix environment and convey technical information to diverse audiences.
• Proactive and innovative mindset.
• Willingness to travel up to 40%.
• Previous experience in curriculum development, educational outcome assessment, and application of adult learning principles is preferred.
