This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Oversee intricate LCA engagements from methodology and approach to final delivery, ensuring technical precision, well-founded assumptions, and compliance with international standards and industry frameworks.
• Develop inventive LCA methodologies for emerging and complex scenarios, including advanced technologies, circular systems, service-oriented models, and shifting value chains.
• Convert LCA findings and environmental impacts into actionable recommendations for C-suite executives, product leaders, manufacturing, and sustainability professionals.
• Serve as a reliable technical advisor to clients by questioning assumptions, framing problems, and designing customized strategies.
• Provide technical leadership and ensure quality across projects by reviewing models and deliverables utilizing SimaPro, OpenLCA, and Excel.
• Lead and cultivate project teams, prioritize tasks, delegate responsibilities, mentor junior staff, and enhance LCA capabilities.
• Support business development through client discussions, proposal submissions, RFP responses, and identifying opportunities to broaden Anthesis’ LCA services.
• Engage in thought leadership, develop new methodologies, drive automation, enable LCA at scale, and promote sustainable product design and technology-driven sustainability transformation.
• Represent Anthesis at conferences, industry events, and various forums.
• Minimum of 7 years of practical LCA experience across diverse sectors, including leading complex assessments.
• Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Proficient in SimaPro, OpenLCA, and Excel.
• In-depth knowledge of ISO 14040/14044, ISO 14067, GHG Protocol Product Standard, PEF, PCRs, EPD-related EN standards, and pertinent industry-specific frameworks.
• Familiarity with GHG inventories and corporate carbon footprinting.
• Experience in applying LCA to complex or evolving contexts, such as circular systems, innovative technologies, service models, or changing value chains.
• Strong comprehension of system boundaries, feedstocks, data quality, assumptions, and methodological decisions.
• Capability to work with incomplete or flawed information and create defensible strategies using sound technical judgment.
• Excellent client-facing and communication skills suitable for both technical and executive audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects, juggle competing priorities, and uphold high-quality standards in delivery.
• Experience in mentoring and developing team members while providing technical guidance.
• A commercial mindset with confidence in contributing to business development, proposals, and client interactions.
• Experience in technology sectors such as semiconductors, digital services, AI, cloud infrastructure, or technology-sector footprinting is advantageous.
