Associate Director, Global Cloud Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Provide strategic and operational direction for Carrier's global cloud platforms.

• Facilitate secure, scalable, and cost-effective digital infrastructure services throughout the organization.

• Enhance application delivery and foster business innovation through reusable platform services, infrastructure automation, self-service capabilities, and contemporary cloud engineering methodologies.

• Position cloud platforms as enterprise products that enrich developer experience, bolster governance, and establish a uniform operating model across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments.

• Oversee the global Cloud Platform organization responsible for AWS, Azure, and GCP platform engineering, cloud governance, identity management, networking, automation, and self-service infrastructure functionalities.

• Define and implement the enterprise cloud platform strategy.

• Promote standardization, security, reliability, operational excellence, cost optimization (FinOps), and developer velocity through automation and platform engineering methodologies.

• Manage and nurture a global team of cloud engineers, architects, and FinOps professionals.

• Collaborate with Cybersecurity, Cloud Operations, Application Teams, and external service providers to achieve business objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.

• Over 10 years of progressive experience in cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, DevOps, or enterprise technology leadership.

• Proven experience in leading globally distributed teams.

• Cloud architect certification (AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Architect, and/or GCP Professional Cloud Architect).
