Associate Director, Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Report directly to the Vice President of Engineering

• Develop and expand several engineering teams and services

• Design GenAI and ML-driven consumer-grade experiences to enhance healthcare navigation

• Lead and develop engineering teams while attracting top-tier talent

• Implement a bold and significant product roadmap

• Collaborate with product, design, and architecture leaders to simplify complex ideas and care journeys into user-friendly experiences

• Take ownership of organizational outcomes, ensuring technology is rapid, precise, and high-performing

• Cultivate a culture focused on high-quality execution, continuous delivery, and accountability

• Transform engineering-driven concepts into reality and assume responsibility for results from start to finish

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated success in leading multiple software engineering teams that have produced complex, high-scale technology-enabled services

• Over 8 years of experience in software development

• More than 4 years of experience in leading multiple engineering teams or managing managers

• Extensive experience in architecting and maintaining high-availability, distributed systems and cloud-based services

• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform; experience with AWS/Azure is also acceptable

• Proven knowledge of modern software development lifecycle practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, and agile methodologies

• Strong history of attracting and retaining senior talent

• Comfortable managing complex data workflows and modernizing legacy codebases without disrupting service

• Ability to convey intricate technical concepts into clear business strategies for non-technical stakeholders

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
