Associate Director – Counsel, Fighter & Mobility Programs

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.

📋 Description

• Act as the chief legal advisor for the Fighter & Mobility executive leadership team, Program Management Office, and support functions regarding legal matters associated with engine programs.

• Negotiate contracts, subcontracts, industrial participation agreements, and various other agreements with the U.S. Government, foreign governments, suppliers, and additional stakeholders.

• Serve as the main legal advisor for governance issues concerning Pratt & Whitney’s international sites and entities.

• Lead the resolution of disputes connected to Fighter & Mobility engine programs.

• Collaborate with attorneys from other Pratt & Whitney programs and functional areas to ensure unified support.

• Provide assistance for in-person events and/or classified engagements, including occasional travel to Pratt & Whitney locations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.

• Over 10 years of experience in legal and contracts.

• Familiarity with government contracting (FAR/DFARS).

• Capability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued Secret security clearance.

• U.S. citizenship is mandatory.

• An active and existing security clearance is required from day one.

• Experience providing support to internal clients and external stakeholders with minimal supervision is preferred.

• In-house legal experience or experience collaborating with U.S. Government agencies is preferred.

• Experience in contracting with foreign (non-U.S.) government agencies is preferred.
