Associate Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Execute clearly defined sprint tasks with assistance from a Developer or Senior Developer.

• Develop code for designated tasks that aligns with documented acceptance criteria and team standards.

• Test modifications and incorporate suitable unit tests with guidance.

• Clearly document changes for the benefit of team members.

• Solicit code reviews, engage with feedback, and integrate lessons learned into future assignments.

• Consistently utilize source control, branching, and work-item practices.

• Monitor time and keep accurate updates in work items.

• Maintain a functional local development environment.

• Acquire working knowledge of Business Central, AL, React Native, TypeScript, and RUX products.

• Responsibly employ approved AI development tools.

• Proactively raise questions, blockers, risks, and ambiguities in requirements at an early stage.

• Complete small, well-defined enhancements, bug fixes, and technical tasks with ongoing guidance.

• Engage in sprint planning, daily coordination, refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.

• Validate assigned changes against acceptance criteria prior to code review.

• Collaborate with the team to clarify expected behaviors and resolve defects.

• For mobile-related tasks, assist with UI changes, API integrations, device testing, and platform-specific fixes.

• Support mobile build, signing, testing, and submission to stores.

• Progress towards independent ownership of recurring features and deliverables expected at the Developer level.

⛳️ Requirements

• Foundational knowledge in software development acquired through a degree, certificate program, internship, professional experience, or comparable project work.

• Basic proficiency in at least one relevant programming language or framework.

• Experience with AL, React Native, or TypeScript is advantageous, though expertise in all three is not necessary.

• Working understanding of programming fundamentals, debugging, testing, source control, and API concepts.

• Capability to follow defined requirements, ask insightful questions, accept feedback, document work, and collaborate effectively with team members.
