Associate Consultant – Epidemiology & Outcomes Research

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Assist in the design and execution of systematic literature reviews, targeted literature reviews, and various evidence reviews.

• Create search strategies, establish screening criteria, develop data extraction frameworks, and formulate evidence synthesis methodologies.

• Perform structured searches across bibliographic databases and pertinent evidence sources.

• Evaluate literature based on project-specific inclusion and exclusion criteria.

• Oversee junior team members in literature screening and data extraction processes.

• Extract data, conduct quality control, critically assess studies, and interpret clinical, epidemiological, economic, and health outcomes evidence.

• Address complex data challenges and identify evidence gaps and insights.

• Clearly and accurately summarize scientific data.

• Assist in qualitative and narrative evidence synthesis concerning disease burden, treatment patterns, unmet needs, clinical outcomes, and other health outcome evidence.

• Formulate and implement strategies for the precise and timely delivery of analytical results.

• Handle multiple concurrent projects with support from senior team members.

• Aid in the preparation of literature review reports, manuscripts, evidence/value dossiers, abstracts, posters, and presentations.

• Engage in client meetings and deliverable presentations.

• Contribute to project scoping, methodology development, proposal preparation, and project requirement estimation.

• Collaborate with senior consultants and cross-functional teams.

• Participate in knowledge sharing, training, methodology development, and ongoing enhancement of research processes and tools.

⛳️ Requirements

• MPH, MSc, MPharm, or an equivalent postgraduate degree in Epidemiology, Health Economics, Outcomes Research, Biostatistics, Pharmacy, Public Health, or a related life sciences field.

• 4–6 years of relevant experience in HEOR, epidemiology, evidence synthesis, or related research within pharmaceutical companies or life science consulting firms.

• Proven experience in conducting secondary research, literature reviews, evidence synthesis, and interpreting complex scientific data.

• Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously with some guidance from senior team members.

• Strong HEOR, epidemiological, and analytical skills.

• Ability to critically interpret intricate scientific and health outcomes data.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Capability to work independently and navigate ambiguity.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

• Familiarity with reference-management software such as EndNote or equivalent.

• Working knowledge of AI tools and their application in research and analysis workflows.
