Associate Consultant, Appian

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Conceptualize, design, and implement new functionalities utilizing the Appian low-code platform based on prioritized product backlogs.

• Apply innovative and creative thinking to address complex challenges and collaborate with colleagues.

• Provide estimates for tasks in upcoming sprints.

• Collaborate with functional and testing teams to grasp business functionality and ensure that developed solutions meet or exceed end-user requirements.

• Conduct unit testing of developed features, including edge cases, and perform peer reviews of code from other developers as necessary.

• Attend and actively contribute to Agile meetings, including User Story grooming, Sprint Planning, and retrospectives.

• Present to clients during Sprint demos and organize meetings with intersecting teams.

• Engage in the implementation of architectures for digital solutions, frameworks, and accelerators.

• Participate in company knowledge-sharing sessions, promote best practices, and draft white papers as needed.

• Assist in building proof of concepts and developing technical solutions for internal applications as required.

• Collaborate closely with developers and engineers in an Agile environment to modernize customer applications using low-code solutions.

• Gain insights from peers and seniors while mentoring junior team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or a related IT qualification.

• Certified Appian Associate Developer or Appian Senior Developer.

• Applicants MUST be U.S. citizens capable of obtaining and maintaining the U.S. Government’s Public Trust security clearance.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the design and implementation of digital, BPM low-code solutions using Appian.

• Strong skills in Appian development and debugging.

• Good understanding of data concepts (SQL, Databases) and business workflows.

• Experience with recent versions of Appian (24.x and later).

• Practical experience with modern/synced Record Types and related features.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with both technical and business stakeholders.

• Experience with Appian SAIL, Process Models, Interfaces, Process Monitoring, and/or Integrations.

• Proven ability to handle multiple tasks, adapt to changing priorities, and take timely action; familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities, along with excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills in a remote work environment.

• Experience collaborating with software development team members.

• Familiarity with other open-source technologies is preferred.
