Associate Cloud Security Engineer – AWS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in cloud security consulting projects within the Cloud practice.

• Support cloud security evaluations, documentation, and preparation of client deliverables under the guidance of senior consultants.

• Engage in client meetings, workshops, and discovery sessions.

• Aid in AWS security assessments to pinpoint misconfigurations, operational risks, and compliance deficiencies.

• Record findings, suggestions, and remediation strategies for client deliverables.

• Contribute to the creation of security roadmaps, gap analyses, architecture diagrams, and additional deliverables.

• Help with AWS security configurations, including IAM policies, CloudTrail, GuardDuty, Security Hub, and Config.

• Contribute to internal methodologies, templates, and reusable assessment frameworks.

• Engage in knowledge-sharing and mentorship opportunities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.

• AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification (mandatory).

• At least 1 year of practical experience with AWS cloud services; internships, lab experiences, and project work are acceptable.

• Basic understanding of AWS IAM, including roles, policies, and MFA configuration.

• Knowledge of AWS security services such as CloudTrail, GuardDuty, Security Hub, and AWS Config.

• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools: Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK.

• Understanding of fundamental network security concepts, including VPCs, security groups, and NACLs.

• Basic scripting skills; Python is preferred, while Bash or PowerShell is also acceptable.

• Awareness of multi-account AWS environment concepts.

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

• Openness to embracing emerging technologies, including AI tools.

• Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.

• Sedentary work requirements.

• Significant movement of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers for a minimum of 8 hours daily.

• Close visual acuity for computer-terminal viewing and/or extensive reading for at least 8 hours daily.
