Enterprise & Cloud Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Design scalable, AI-driven enterprise software and contemporary architectures across both SAP and non-SAP environments.

• Define and enhance enterprise, cloud, and product architecture.

• Create modern cloud-native and SaaS architectures.

• Establish engineering standards and reusable frameworks for microservices, APIs, event-driven architectures, Domain-Driven Design, automated testing, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, security, and observability.

• Develop architectural patterns and guidelines for Generative AI, AI Agents, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, and foundational model integration.

• Address security, data privacy, governance, monitoring, and cost management for AI architectures.

• Design integration and target architectures spanning SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, and non-SAP platforms.

• Propel the modernization of existing applications towards modular and cloud-native architectures.

• Make informed technology decisions regarding Azure or AWS, SAP BTP, Kubernetes, data, and AI platforms.

• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, DevOps, and Security teams during architecture reviews.

• Provide hands-on technical leadership and translate architectural and engineering principles into practical solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Several years of experience in roles such as Enterprise, Cloud, Solution, or Software Architect.

• Strong practical knowledge of modern software architecture and cloud-native development.

• Solid expertise in Microsoft Azure and/or AWS.

• Experience with microservices, APIs, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, automated testing, and DevSecOps.

• Familiarity with AI-driven applications and contemporary AI architectures, including Generative AI, AI Agents, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation.

• Ideally experienced with Azure AI, AWS AI Services, SAP Business AI, or similar platforms.

• Knowledge of SAP architectures and integrations, preferably with SAP S/4HANA and SAP BTP.

• Hands-on experience with the SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP) and SAP BTP, with Kyma runtime being a significant advantage.

• Experience in implementing engineering standards and architectural guidelines effectively.

• Capability to communicate complex technical subjects clearly to engineering teams and at a strategic level.
