Staff Cloud Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Design, oversee, and enhance secure, scalable, and dependable AWS infrastructure for various SaaS products.

• Develop and refine infrastructure automation utilizing Terraform.

• Advance CI/CD pipelines, deployment methods, and cloud operations.

• Optimize monitoring, performance, security, and cloud cost efficiency.

• Recognize areas for improvement, suggest solutions, and lead technical initiatives from inception to completion.

• Collaborate with engineers and architects, disseminate knowledge, and establish cloud engineering best practices.

• Contribute to infrastructure enhancements within the first 30 days.

• Assume responsibility for initial projects and pinpoint automation and optimization prospects during the first 60 days.

• Spearhead significant infrastructure enhancements and aid in cloud reliability and efficiency within the first 90 days.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, SRE, Platform Engineering, or related fields.

• More than 3 years of practical AWS experience with services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS.

• Proficient in Terraform with strong hands-on capabilities.

• Experience in constructing or maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automating infrastructure tasks.

• Knowledge of cloud monitoring, networking, and security best practices.

• Scripting skills and a strong focus on automation.

• A proactive approach to problem-solving, with instances of independently leading technical enhancements.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.

• Must reside in Canada and adhere to Eastern Time business hours.
