Enterprise & Cloud Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Create scalable, AI-driven enterprise software and contemporary architectures for both SAP and non-SAP environments.

• Enhance enterprise, cloud, and product architecture.

• Design innovative cloud-native and SaaS architectures.

• Set engineering standards and reusable patterns for microservices, APIs, event-driven architectures, domain-driven design, automated testing, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, security, and observability.

• Develop architectural patterns and guidelines for generative AI, AI agents, retrieval-augmented generation, and foundation model integrations.

• Manage security, data privacy, governance, monitoring, and cost management for AI architectures.

• Design integration and target architectures across SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, and non-SAP platforms.

• Lead the modernization of existing applications towards modular and cloud-native architectures.

• Make technology decisions related to Azure or AWS, SAP BTP, Kubernetes, and data and AI platforms.

• Work closely with Product, Engineering, DevOps, and Security teams during architecture reviews.

• Provide technical guidance to engineering teams in executing practical architecture and engineering solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Several years of experience in roles such as Enterprise, Cloud, Solution, or Software Architect.

• Strong practical knowledge of modern software architecture and cloud-native development.

• In-depth understanding of Microsoft Azure and/or AWS.

• Experience with microservices, APIs, Kubernetes, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, automated testing, and DevSecOps.

• Familiarity with AI-powered applications and contemporary AI architectures, including generative AI, AI agents, and retrieval-augmented generation.

• Experience with Azure AI, AWS AI Services, SAP Business AI, or similar platforms is advantageous.

• Knowledge of SAP architectures and integrations, particularly SAP S/4HANA and SAP BTP.

• Practical experience with the SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP); experience with SAP BTP and Kyma runtime is highly desirable.

• Proven track record in implementing engineering standards and architecture guidelines.

• Ability to articulate complex technical subjects clearly to engineering teams and at a strategic level.
