Associate, Brokerage Operations – Corporate Actions, Dividends

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Manage the daily processing of corporate actions and dividends for client accounts.

• Identify and resolve discrepancies prior to client notification.

• Collaborate directly with Operations Associates to ensure accurate client records are maintained.

• Serve as the subject matter expert on tax-related issues concerning corporate actions and dividends.

• Work alongside the Trade Desk, securities lending, management, and other teams to escalate and address critical issues while minimizing risk.

• Assess the effects of new product launches on corporate action and dividend processes and implement necessary changes.

• Troubleshoot and proactively manage reconciliation discrepancies.

• Utilize data to pinpoint inefficiencies and implement solutions.

• Create processes aimed at enhancing back-office operational efficiency.

• Report directly to the Team Lead of Corporate Actions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience at a broker-dealer involved in back-office corporate action processing for equities and options (CIRO-regulated dealer preferred).

• Proven experience working with CDS, DTC, OCC, and CDCC.

• Proficient in Excel.

• Comfortable handling large data sets and capable of identifying position or entitlement discrepancies and explaining their origins.

• Progress towards or completion of CSC, DFOL, or comparable industry courses is preferred.

• Basic knowledge of programming, particularly SQL, is a plus.

• Familiarity with Claude AI or Claude Code is advantageous.

• Naturally inquisitive, organized, and detail-oriented.

• Ability to work accurately under tight, non-negotiable deadlines.

• Strong interpersonal skills and a positive demeanor.

• Openness to escalate issues proactively.

• Genuine interest in the intersection of markets and technology.
