Associate Attorney – Consumer Protection, Complex Litigation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Diligently analyze demand letters by assessing statutory accuracy, factual references, alignment with legal theories, compliance with terms of service, and state coverage.

• Ensure quality of notice batches and claimant communications prior to dispatch.

• Collaborate with co-counsel to manage plaintiff-side mass arbitration initiatives from start to finish.

• Manage pre-suit demands, notices of dispute, filings with AAA/JAMS, IDRs, and conduct settlement negotiations.

• Act as a key authority on case strategy, redlining, and documentation submissions.

• Assess and validate case theories in areas such as consumer protection, privacy, UDTP, data breaches, false advertising, and complex litigation.

• Enhance the case evaluation manual for scalability and consistency.

• Work in partnership with Legal Operations, Data, and Engineering teams to optimize case workflows and elevate the quality of demand letters.

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

• Active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, preferably in California.

• Around 5 years of experience in complex litigation at a well-regarded law firm.

• Direct experience with consumer protection, UDTP, privacy/wiretapping, data breaches, or false advertising theories is advantageous.

• Exceptional attention to detail and comfort with thorough, meticulous examination of legal documents.

• Proficient in utilizing AI tools, legal technology, and automation.

• Organized, deadline-oriented, and pragmatic; able to make swift decisions without compromising thoroughness.
