Assistant Vice President – Technology, Platform Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Lead and oversee global real-time in-platform administration, ensuring effective and secure data management.

• Supervise data migrations, governance, and performance optimization utilizing big data platforms and cloud services.

• Propel data-driven innovation by identifying and executing technologies and strategies.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align on data-related projects, ensuring successful execution.

• Mentor and support data professionals, promoting continuous learning and enhancement.

• Keep abreast of industry trends and integrate advancements in big data and cloud technologies into strategic plans.

• Ensure adherence to data privacy and security regulations.

• Cultivate stakeholder relationships and provide updates and insights regarding data management initiatives.

• Conduct performance evaluations and deliver constructive feedback to team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong technical proficiency in big data platforms such as Cloudera/Hadoop, Spark, and cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

• Expertise in data management tools and programming languages, including Python, SQL, Kafka, and Airflow.

• Demonstrated experience in leading and managing data-related projects, with a history of successful outcomes.

• Exceptional leadership and communication skills, capable of inspiring and guiding a team of data professionals.

• In-depth understanding of data governance, data migrations, and performance optimization techniques.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

• Analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving and innovative thinking.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.

• Over 5 years of experience in a leadership role within the data management or technology sector.

• Experience in the financial services industry is a plus.
