Assistant Vice President – Technology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Egypt.

📋 Description

• Ensure the stability of services and maintain system uptime for portfolio systems in line with agreed SLAs.

• Provide L2/L3 support and manage technical escalations effectively.

• Offer guidance and technical insights to the team to foster continuous improvement.

• Ensure systems are maintained in accordance with audit and compliance standards.

• Lead and oversee the technical team that supports database platforms.

• Advise management on cost-effective decision-making.

• Enhance service uptime and improve customer experience.

• Uphold system security and adhere to the patching schedule.

• Manage projects and maintain comprehensive documentation.

• Provide timely implementation support for new baselines and policies.

• Ensure compliance with Mashreq's information security policies and security standards.

• Conduct database performance tuning.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in supporting database platforms within a large-scale environment.

• Proven experience in architecting, implementing, and delivering post-implementation support.

• Experience in ensuring timely service delivery to both internal and external customers.

• Strong understanding of large-scale production support.

• Experience with extensive upgrades, migrations, and transitions.

• Demonstrated experience in implementing security measures for portfolio products.

• Proficient in problem, incident, escalation, and change management following ITIL processes.

• Familiarity with adopting new database technologies and supporting open-source databases.

• Strong technical expertise in MS SQL and Oracle Database platforms, with practical experience.

• Experience with SQL Always On.

• Proficient in SQL Server database administration, including backup and recovery, installation, and patching.

• Skilled in database performance tuning.

• Experience in security implementation.

• Hands-on experience in Oracle database administration, including installation, patching, and backup and recovery.

• Knowledgeable in database capacity management, purging, and other maintenance tasks.
