ASL & BASL Video Data Contributor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Capture 1,000 brief videos by adhering to specified ASL or BASL prompts

• Comply with setup guidelines, including posture (sitting/standing), device positioning, and lighting

• Upload videos and engage in onboarding as well as regular check-ins

• Operate independently while adhering to project deadlines

• Record concise voice-assistant-type commands, which include common phrases, frequent requests, and conversational prompts

• Assist AI systems in enhancing their comprehension of signed requests

• Complete recordings at home using an Apple device

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in ASL or BASL, or have completed a minimum of 2 semesters of college-level ASL

• Utilize ASL or BASL on a daily basis

• Possess basic reading and writing skills in English

• Have access to an Apple device (iPhone, iPad, MacBook, or iMac)

• Maintain a dependable internet connection

• Be comfortable using a device/camera and adhering to detailed instructions

• Additional tools/software may be supplied if necessary (e.g., MacOS foot pedals for hands-free recording)
