Asbestos Trainer, Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Design and deliver training courses on asbestos, including BOHS and UKATA certifications.

• Conduct consulting services, gap analysis, and create asbestos management plans.

• Foster a culture of accuracy and quality within SOCOTEC, engaging with stakeholders and clients.

• Offer mentoring and training sessions internally.

• Work closely with business development teams, Regional Managers, Project Managers, and other SOCOTEC stakeholders.

• Manage client relationships both regionally and as needed beyond.

• Build and maintain client relationships by delivering exceptional service.

• Thrive in a dynamic consultancy setting while maintaining high technical standards.

• Track, manage, and report on ongoing contract performance metrics.

• Ensure the electronic setup of client information and conduct regular accuracy checks.

• Notify the Company Secretary and Divisional Operations Director of any business activities that require insurer notification or legal consultation.

• Sustain business relationships through effective client portfolio management and seizing business opportunities.

• Provide detailed quotes and work specifications as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• BOHS Certificate of Competence in Asbestos.

• Degree in a relevant science discipline.

• Over 10 years of experience in the asbestos sector.

• Proven experience in delivering BOHS asbestos training courses.

• Familiarity with delivering UKATA asbestos training courses.

• Skilled in developing and implementing Asbestos Management Plans (AMPs).

• Experienced in conducting audits.

• Valid UK driving license.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office software.

• Experience with UKAS accreditation systems is desirable.

• Working towards AFAAM level or higher is considered a plus.
