This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
β’ Offer technical guidance and field assistance for Wabtec OHV Drive Systems across Chile and other designated areas.
β’ Collaborate with the Global Mining Service organization, OHV Engineering teams, OEM partners, distributors, mining clients, warranty teams, and product support experts.
β’ Execute commissioning and startup tasks for newly installed OHV Drive Systems in accordance with Wabtec Vehicle Test Instructions.
β’ Identify and resolve technical issues through on-site evaluations, remote assistance, and system data analysis.
β’ Oversee OHV fleet performance, pinpoint root causes of failures, and align corrective measures with engineering and product teams.
β’ Generate field, commissioning, and technical reports utilizing Salesforce, ServiceMax, and other authorized systems.
β’ Assess warranty claims, deliver technical evaluations, and assist in failure investigations and component teardown processes.
β’ Organize return shipments of RMA components for factory assessment and resolution.
β’ Engage in NPI programs and provide field assistance for new product launches.
β’ Cultivate and sustain relationships with customers, OEMs, distributors, and internal stakeholders.
β’ Attend customer meetings, fleet evaluations, biweekly OEM discussions, monthly ASM updates, and other business reviews.
β’ Advocate for safety, regulatory compliance, One Wabtec culture, and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the assigned region.
β’ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Automation & Control Engineering, or a related field, with at least 3 years of experience in supporting mining truck drive systems; OR a technical degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Automation & Control disciplines, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant field service, technical, or engineering experience involving mining truck drive systems.
β’ Proficiency in mining truck drive systems equipment design, validation, testing, commissioning, and field support.
β’ Strong technical troubleshooting abilities.
β’ Experience with engineering software, diagnostic tools, and business systems.
β’ Exceptional communication, interpersonal, collaboration, and leadership skills.
β’ Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 80% of the time.
β’ Experience operating in active mining environments, including high-altitude operations.
β’ Proficiency in English is preferred.
β’ Capability to perform work safely in active mining environments while adhering to customer and site safety protocols.
β’ Ability to work at high-altitude mining sites up to 5,500 meters (18,000 feet) above sea level and comply with site-specific occupational health regulations.
