This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Deliver technical leadership and field support for Wabtec OHV Drive Systems throughout Chile and designated areas.
• Execute commissioning and startup procedures for newly installed OHV Drive Systems in accordance with Wabtec Vehicle Test Instructions.
• Identify and troubleshoot technical problems through on-site inspections, remote assistance, and system data evaluation.
• Track OHV fleet performance, determine root causes of failures, and collaborate with engineering and product teams on corrective measures.
• Generate field, commissioning, and technical reports using Salesforce, ServiceMax, and other approved platforms.
• Assess warranty claims, deliver technical evaluations, and assist in failure investigations and component disassembly activities.
• Organize return shipments of RMA components for factory analysis and resolution.
• Engage in NPI programs and provide field support for new product launches.
• Build and sustain relationships with customers, OEMs, distributors, and internal stakeholders.
• Attend customer meetings, fleet evaluations, biweekly OEM meetings, monthly ASM updates, and other business reviews.
• Advocate for safety, regulatory compliance, One Wabtec culture, and continuous improvement initiatives within the assigned territory.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Automation & Control Engineering, or a related field, with at least 3 years of experience supporting mining truck drive systems; or a technical degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline with a minimum of 5 years of applicable field service, technical, or engineering experience related to mining truck drive systems.
• Familiarity with mining truck drive systems, including equipment design, validation, testing, commissioning, and field support.
• Strong technical troubleshooting abilities and experience with engineering software, diagnostic tools, and business systems.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, collaboration, and leadership skills.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 80% of the time.
• Experience working in active mining settings, including operations at high altitudes.
• English proficiency is preferred.
• Capability to safely carry out work in active mining environments while adhering to customer and site safety protocols.
• Compliance with site-specific occupational health standards for high-altitude operations.
