This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +2 more states.
• Create and implement strategic sales initiatives aimed at boosting revenue, enhancing market presence, and broadening product distribution.
• Establish, nurture, and expand partnerships with key distributors and operators.
• Identify, cultivate, and finalize new business opportunities.
• Increase product sales and market penetration within current accounts.
• Prepare and present sales proposals, business evaluations, and product demonstrations.
• Report on sales performance, market dynamics, growth prospects, and strategic recommendations.
• Collaborate with business development managers, marketing teams, distributors, and major operators to enhance product placement.
• Formulate and execute promotional strategies and product pricing plans.
• Track and report on sales activities and performance against set objectives.
• Evaluate sales outcomes, market trends, customer insights, and competitive landscape.
• Supply research data and customer insights to assist in product development, launches, and business planning.
• Support inventory management and forecasting for customers and warehouses.
• Coordinate pricing strategies with the Pricing Team.
• Collaborate with Customer Service, Logistics, and Supply Chain teams to ensure order fulfillment and address service-related issues.
• Work with Accounts Receivable regarding customer deductions, disputes, and credit issues.
• Keep accurate records of customer information, sales activities, forecasts, and opportunity pipelines in CRM and reporting systems.
• 3-5 years of proven sales experience in the foodservice sales sector or a related food industry environment.
• Experience in the food importing sector is advantageous.
• An entrepreneurial, proactive, and results-driven mindset.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to solve problems effectively.
• Capability to prioritize tasks and make informed decisions in complex situations.
• Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication abilities.
• Self-motivated, flexible, and collaborative with a robust work ethic.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly advanced Excel and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with Infor M3 and Salesforce is a plus.
• Willingness and ability to travel at least 50% of the time.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
