Area Sales Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Promote and sell Portwest products to distributors located in Colorado and Utah, under the guidance of the Regional Sales Manager.

• Cultivate and maintain strong business relationships with both new and existing accounts.

• Conduct daily face-to-face sales meetings with distributors, resellers, and wholesalers.

• Identify current customers with significant growth potential and develop tailored growth plans.

• Discover new business opportunities and create comprehensive sales planning schedules.

• Implement strategies to consistently acquire new business.

• Utilize a consultative selling approach by recognizing customer needs and offering Portwest solutions.

• Prepare written proposals and quotations for both current and prospective clients.

• Prioritize the promotion of new Portwest products by presenting samples during meetings.

• Follow up post-meetings to finalize sales agreements.

• Gather market intelligence through trade shows, seminars, exhibitions, and journals, and relay insights back to the business.

• Advocate for distributor promotions to end users.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2 – 5 years of experience in selling PPE, workwear, or safety apparel.

• Proven experience in sales on behalf of a manufacturer, distributor, reseller, or agent.

• Sales experience in a related sector such as Automotive, Tools, Chemicals, MROs, etc.

• Motivation to drive continued sales growth for Portwest through field sales activities.

• A valid driving license and readiness to travel throughout your assigned region.

• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.

• A positive attitude combined with a winning mentality.
