Area Sales Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Oversee the intricate sales process for da Vinci Surgical Systems in new hospitals and upgrades in existing facilities.

• Foster support from surgeons and hospital management for da Vinci Surgery.

• Identify key institutions, enhance market awareness, and promote sales within a designated territory.

• Facilitate the transition from initial sale and installation to the sales team to encourage procedural volume and expansion.

• Meet quarterly sales objectives.

• Collaborate with the da Vinci Area Sales Director to create a local territory sales strategy.

• Establish surgical advocacy teams at each hospital.

• Cultivate relationships with CEOs and senior hospital leaders.

• Organize and oversee the sales process.

• Acquire knowledge of primary operating room procedures.

• Present the business rationale for system acquisitions.

• Address contractual matters and coordinate system installation post-purchase approval.

• Manage communications and administrative follow-up.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree is mandatory.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in medical device sales is essential.

• Familiarity with the operating room environment is required.

• A proven successful history in capital medical equipment sales is necessary.

• Willingness to travel up to 50%, depending on account distribution.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.

• Candidates must either reside in or be open to relocating to the Long Island Area.

• Current proof of vaccination against specific diseases, including COVID-19, may be needed by Intuitive and/or clients.

• May be subject to U.S. export control regulations, including the need for an export license or Technology Control Plan.
