Area Sales Director – Central

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Formulate and implement regional business strategies to meet corporate revenue, procedure, and utilization goals.

• Facilitate successful post-sale implementations, program launches, and continuous customer engagement.

• Drive sales performance by establishing clear objectives, tracking outcomes, and ensuring team accountability.

• Assist the team in delivering impactful product presentations and clinical discussions with key stakeholders.

• Recruit, lead, mentor, and retain a high-achieving team of sales managers.

• Guide sales managers in structuring business opportunities that consistently yield strong revenue results.

• Act as the escalation point for issues that exceed team authority and mediate team conflicts as necessary.

• Broaden the customer base while enhancing adoption and utilization within existing accounts.

• Direct referral education and strategic sales initiatives that promote procedure growth.

• Ensure the team conducts regular business reviews with clients to monitor performance and identify growth opportunities.

• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of products, market trends, and the competitive landscape to inform strategy.

• Collaborate across functions with marketing, clinical and medical affairs, and leadership teams to improve go-to-market strategies and sales effectiveness.

• Deliver precise forecasts, sales reports, and field insights to senior leadership to enhance the overall product offering.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

• At least 5 years of experience in a sales leadership or supervisory position.

• Demonstrated success in leading sales within the medical device or disposable device sectors.

• Experience in selling early-stage technologies that create new patient care pathways.

• Strong skills in sales, recruitment, leadership, organization, planning, and prioritization.

• Several years of consistently meeting or exceeding sales quotas.

• Experience in launching innovative, market-defining products.

• Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive working relationships throughout the organization.

• Ability to develop and critically evaluate a sales pipeline and forecast.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

• Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and/or independently, demonstrating adaptability to changing requirements.

• Candidates must reside in the Texas, Oklahoma, or Kansas region.

• Willingness to travel 50% of the time or more.
