Area Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Recruit, train, and manage a team of Promotional Specialists to implement sampling programs both on- and off-premise.

• Take ownership of daily market execution, staffing promotions, coaching Promotional Specialists, and maintaining communication with client field marketing.

• Recruit, hire, and train staff regarding client products, promotions, and industry specifics.

• Serve as the local point of contact for client field marketing and report on competitive market activities.

• Provide staffing for on-premise, off-premise, special, brand, and trade events.

• Conduct spot checks to ensure that quality standards align with client expectations.

• Ensure that Promotional Specialists receive the necessary training and materials.

• Offer direction, set expectations, and provide constructive feedback.

• Manage HR issues, performance management, and conflict resolution for part-time specialists.

• Oversee promotional material inventories, storage units, client equipment, and assets.

• Conduct debriefing sessions and share insights with management.

• Monitor and audit daily budget expenditures and manage program budgets.

• Complete expense reports, maintain event calendars, track execution against goals, and keep accurate records.

• Ensure compliance with state regulations and maintain the integrity of reported information.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in the adult beverage industry is preferred.

• Familiarity with on/off-premise marketing initiatives is desired.

• Prior experience in a promotional agency is preferred.

• Strong problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills are essential.

• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines is required.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).

• Must be at least 21 years of age.

• Reliable transportation is necessary.

• Access to a smartphone is required.

• Ability to lift and transport promotional materials and event assets as needed.
