Area Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.

📋 Description

• Oversee and direct teams of Retail Service Merchandisers/Lead Merchandisers within the designated geographic region.

• Conduct interviews, hire, onboard, train, coach, and provide support to team members.

• Manage employee performance, career development, conflicts, and other personnel matters.

• Acquire a comprehensive understanding of the company's business model, client and customer expectations, and project workflows.

• Occasionally work in the field to offer backup support for project-related tasks.

• Ensure the successful completion of assigned projects, meeting deadlines, and delivering high-quality results.

• Review project schedules and documentation, assign tasks, monitor progress, audit projects, troubleshoot issues, adjust resources, and guarantee the delivery of materials, supplies, and equipment.

• Collaborate with store personnel and teams to achieve merchandising excellence and accomplish objectives.

• Communicate observations, challenges, and business solutions to the Market Manager.

• Utilize web-based applications and retail reporting systems to manage project notifications, documentation, profiles, assignments, progress tracking, mileage, expenses, time, attendance, and training.

• Prepare, process, submit, and oversee project and team documentation.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.

• Minimum of 2 years of management and/or supervisory experience.

• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, decision-making, and leadership abilities.

• Capable of reading and effectively communicating with others.

• Proficient in web-based applications, email, word processing, and spreadsheet software.

• Required proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

• Must possess a valid driver's license and the ability to drive for extended periods.

• Ability to operate a computer, paper cutter, copier, hammer, screwdriver, drill, case cutter, hand truck, and pallet jack.

• Must be able to climb and stand on a step stool or ladder.
