This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.
• Conduct archaeological fieldwork under the guidance of a Crew Chief, Field Director, and/or Principal Investigator.
• Execute various tasks to support project personnel.
• Collect and manage scientific data along with designated records.
• Aid in environmental sampling, operations and maintenance, and inspections at client locations.
• Assist in performing calculations.
• Set up and utilize equipment.
• Examine equipment and installations to ensure adherence to specifications.
• Maintain documentation for the project.
• Gather and input data.
• Implement technical principles and theories under supervision.
• High School diploma.
• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience or a proven equivalency of experience and/or education in archaeological fieldwork.
• Valid US Driver's License.
• Verification of driving record prior to employment.
• US Citizenship is mandatory.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Over 3 years of experience in archaeological survey, testing, excavation, and monitoring is preferred.
• Completion of an archaeological field school is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with GPS and GIS is preferred.
• Proficient in computer usage, including knowledge of Microsoft Office, is preferred.
• Willingness to travel overnight for fieldwork sessions.
