This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.
• Conduct archaeological fieldwork under the guidance of a Crew Chief, Field Director, and/or Principal Investigator.
• Execute various tasks to assist project personnel.
• Collect and maintain designated records of scientific data.
• Aid in environmental sampling, operations and maintenance, and inspections at client locations.
• Assist with calculations as needed.
• Set up and operate necessary equipment.
• Inspect equipment and installations to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Ensure proper maintenance of project documentation.
• Gather and input data accurately.
• Apply technical principles and theories under supervision.
• Support immediate field projects primarily located in Ohio and Illinois.
• Work on an as-needed basis for projects expected to continue from September to December, or potentially longer, depending on weather conditions.
• High School diploma.
• 2 years of relevant experience or equivalent experience and/or education in archaeological fieldwork.
• Valid US Driver's License.
• Pre-employment verification of driving record.
• US Citizenship is mandatory.
• Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or a related field (preferred).
• 3+ years of experience in archaeological survey, testing, excavation, and monitoring (preferred).
• Completion of an archaeological field school is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with GPS and GIS technologies (preferred).
• Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office (preferred).
• Willingness to travel overnight for field work assignments.
