AR Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Review Closed Won opportunities, contracts, SOWs, and Salesforce records to ensure accuracy and completeness.

• Collaborate with Sales, Deal Desk, Delivery, and Infrastructure to validate contract terms, billing schedules, and non-standard transactions.

• Guarantee precise project setup, invoicing, and revenue recognition in alignment with ASC 606.

• Oversee billing milestones, client invoicing, purchase orders, payment reconciliation, and collections.

• Keep client financial records, including payment terms, billing contacts, and sales tax information, updated in Salesforce.

• Conduct audits on projects during the Pending Finance Review to ensure correct invoicing and revenue recognition.

• Process employee expense reports and manage monthly reimbursements and receivables in conjunction with Payroll.

• Supervise sales tax rates, verify tax allocation accuracy, and liaise with external advisors regarding potential tax obligations.

• Address billing discrepancies and non-standard contract scenarios throughout the bookings-to-cash cycle.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to facilitate proper invoicing and revenue recognition under ASC 606.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

• A strong interest in finance and accounting, with a natural aptitude for working with numbers.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

• Experience in reviewing contracts, Statements of Work (SOWs), amendments, purchase orders, and billing terms is preferred but not mandatory.

• Familiarity with financial systems and business tools, including Salesforce, Professional Services Automation (PSA) platforms, Certinia, or similar systems.

• Detail-oriented, highly organized, and dedicated to accuracy.

• Self-driven, dependable, and capable of working independently while managing multiple priorities.

• Flexible and adaptable to changes in priorities or processes.

• Trustworthy and devoted to maintaining confidentiality and integrity.

• Eager to learn, open to feedback, and willing to take directions.

• Patient and professional when navigating challenging situations.

• Proactive in foreseeing potential issues and proposing solutions.

• Candidates must have authorization to work in Mexico for the duration of their employment without sponsorship.
