Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Process vendor invoices while ensuring all supporting documentation is accurate and complete.

• Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents where applicable.

• Review general ledger coding and input invoices into the accounting system.

• Coordinate vendor payments and prepare them in accordance with established payment terms.

• Reconcile vendor statements and address any discrepancies in invoices.

• Monitor accounts payable aging and follow up on outstanding invoices.

• Address vendor inquiries and maintain organized accounts payable records.

• Prepare and issue daily customer invoices accurately and punctually.

• Apply customer payments and match receipts to outstanding invoices.

• Reconcile customer accounts and investigate any discrepancies in payments or unapplied cash.

• Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue balances to facilitate timely collections.

• Respond to customer inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and account balances.

• Maintain precise customer billing and payment records.

• Prepare accounts receivable aging reports and assist with month-end closing activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or a comparable accounting role.

• Fundamental understanding of accounting standards and invoice processing.

• Proficiency with accounting or ERP systems as well as Microsoft Excel.

• Experience with STAMPLI and SAGE is highly advantageous.

• Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.

• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

• Proficient in professional English at B2+/C1 level.

• Capability to manage daily transaction volumes, adhere to deadlines, and prioritize tasks effectively.
