This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist with billing and revenue-related tasks in line with company policies and applicable GAAP revenue recognition standards.
• Analyze contracts for new business opportunities and manage the associated revenue and invoicing processes.
• Handle requests related to churn and contraction.
• Track customer aging and facilitate collection efforts, which include outreach, dispute resolution, and escalation of overdue balances.
• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, and Finance teams to address issues related to contracts, billing, and customer accounts.
• Record and enforce internal policies and procedures.
• Verify that billed and unbilled revenue accounting complies with revenue recognition standards.
• Maintain precise customer, contract, and billing information across relevant systems.
• Support internal controls throughout the order-to-cash process.
• Prepare and uphold account reconciliations related to accounts receivable and revenue.
• Investigate inconsistencies among billing, revenue, CRM, and general ledger systems.
• Aid in monthly closing activities for accounts receivable, billing, deferred revenue, and revenue-relevant reconciliations.
• Offer supporting documentation during audits.
• Enhance billing processes and procedures.
• Undertake special projects assigned by the Controller or VP of Finance.
• Process SaaS sales orders in SaaSOptics (Maxio), confirm contract details, and oversee invoice distribution and dunning.
• Minimum of 2 years of accounting or related experience in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, general accounting principles and procedures, and comprehensive business processes.
• Experience with SaaSOptics, Salesforce, and QuickBooks Online is advantageous.
• Familiarity with SaaS business models, billing practices, and subscription-based revenue is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Highly self-driven and detail-oriented, with excellent organizational abilities and the capacity to manage competing responsibilities.
• High degree of integrity, ownership, and accountability.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, analytical, and planning skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with team members at all levels.
• Capability to independently manage routine tasks and adhere to established procedures with minimal supervision.
