Applied Health & Medicine Benchmark Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create original, challenging multiple-choice questions within the health and medicine sectors

• Assess pre-existing questions for accuracy, clarity, completeness, precision, rigor, and solvability

• Classify question difficulty levels as Medium, Hard, or Expert

• Provide one correct answer alongside nine plausible yet subtly incorrect alternatives

• Compose step-by-step solutions using markdown format

• Include 1–5 academic references per question from credible sources

• Revise questions as necessary and keep a record of modifications

• Contribute to establishing gold-standard benchmarks for AI research and enhance AI capabilities

• Work collaboratively with leading researchers on projects aimed at training and improving AI systems

⛳️ Requirements

• Expertise in medical and health sciences

• MD, DO, PhD, or doctoral candidate in Medicine, Biomedical Sciences, Public Health, or a related discipline

• Master's degree may be considered for candidates with exceptional expertise in a specific subdomain

• Strong understanding of graduate-level medical knowledge, clinical reasoning, and biomedical research methodologies

• Board certification, clinical experience, or research publications in health-related fields is highly advantageous

• Proficient written English skills and the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and succinctly

• Anticipated commitment of 10+ hours per week

• Must be eligible to work without H1-B or STEM OPT sponsorship; Mercor cannot support H1-B or STEM OPT candidates
