Applications Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in China.

📋 Description

• Lead a team of application engineers and technicians to ensure comprehensive factory deployments.

• Oversee deployment timelines, staffing, readiness, execution, and stabilization across various factories and production lines.

• Ensure stable inspections, completion of acceptance criteria, and effective handoff to customer operations.

• Develop repeatable deployment playbooks that enhance time-to-production and boost customer self-sufficiency.

• Recruit, train, mentor, and manage a high-performing field team across different regions.

• Set execution standards, operating rhythms, escalation procedures, documentation, and quality benchmarks.

• Lead customer stakeholders in areas such as process, quality, automation, and factory management.

• Manage project scope, mitigate scope creep, coordinate customer resources, and sustain deployment momentum.

• Create onboarding and training frameworks, checklists, commissioning templates, project dashboards, post-mortems, and processes for continuous improvement.

• Monitor deployment cycle times, identify blockers, assess time-to-stability, acceptance rates, and readiness for expansion.

• Convert field issues into product enhancements related to diagnostics, workflows, installation standards, tooling, documentation, and self-service capabilities.

• Collaborate with global engineering and product teams to eliminate recurring deployment challenges.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in Mandarin and strong in English, both written and spoken.

• Demonstrated success in leading complex, multi-site technical deployments within manufacturing settings.

• Strong program/project management skills; capable of managing multiple workstreams, prioritizing effectively, and keeping teams aligned.

• Experience in team leadership, including hiring, training, performance management, and fostering strong individual contributors.

• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, from factory operations to customer executives and global teams.

• High levels of ownership, discipline, and energy.

• Willingness to travel frequently to Shanghai, Shenzhen, Nantong, and potentially Vietnam and Malaysia.

• Expected travel frequency of 70% or more.

• Highly preferred: experience in fast-paced EMS, automotive, battery, or electronics manufacturing sectors.

• Highly preferred: familiarity with AI inspection, machine vision, or automation deployment.

• Highly preferred: ability to navigate ambiguity, incomplete information, and changing constraints without losing momentum.
