Applications Engineer – Mold Release

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Oversee technical application support for clients, effectively translating their requirements into practical product and process solutions.

• Diagnose application, product, and process challenges, and propose corrective measures.

• Collaborate closely with Sales, R&D, Operations, Quality, and clients to create and launch solutions.

• Execute product trials, assess outcomes, and convert technical insights into practical recommendations.

• Recognize opportunities to enhance product performance, broaden applications, and assist in new business ventures.

• Offer technical advice to clients and internal teams regarding product selection, processing, and performance.

• Aid in product knowledge, safety, and training initiatives.

• Willingness to travel up to 30%, including international travel, to client locations, manufacturing facilities, and industry events as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Engineering, or a relevant technical discipline.

• Over 10 years of experience in technical sales, applications engineering, technical service, or a similar customer-facing position.

• Advanced proficiency with Salesforce; Administrator experience is preferred.

• Exceptional technical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

• Outstanding communication and presentation skills.

• Strong skills in negotiation, influencing, and relationship-building.

• Ability to work collaboratively across Sales, R&D, Operations, Quality, and other departments.

• Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization capabilities.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook; strong Excel skills are essential.

• Proven track record of ownership, accountability, initiative, and the capacity to drive results in a dynamic environment.

• An entrepreneurial mindset.

• Experience in the chemical, specialty chemical, materials, or related industrial sector.
