Application Security Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Comprehensive consulting and support for clients regarding application security.

• Development of strong Secure SDLC and vulnerability management protocols.

• Integration of preventive security strategies within the development lifecycle.

• Facilitating threat modeling workshops, conducting gap analyses, and providing training on web security and the Cyber Resilience Act.

• Implementing Security Champions programs.

• Playing a role in shaping the strategic direction of the service portfolio in the CoP inoCircle.

• Creating custom training offerings and developing consulting products.

• Representing inovex through presentations at conferences and meetups, as well as posts on LinkedIn.

• Conducting security evaluations utilizing SAST, DAST, and SCA methodologies.

• Collaborating with development teams to prioritize review findings.

• Evaluating the software supply chain, including dependencies and SBOM.

• Assessing AI and LLM applications against the OWASP Top 10 for LLM.

⛳️ Requirements

• A completed degree (Master/Bachelor or PhD) in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or a related field; or equivalent substantial practical experience.

• Several years of experience in IT security and software development.

• Extensive knowledge of security, with expertise in two to three additional areas such as full-stack development, cloud infrastructures, data engineering, or AI being ideal.

• Practical consulting experience and a pragmatic approach to security compliance, such as CRA.

• Ability to articulate complex security concepts in a clear manner.

• Proficient in German, with at least C1 level skills.

• Competent in English language skills.

• Certifications like CSSLP or expertise in AI/LLM security are advantageous.
