Application Security Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +17 more states.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with engineering teams to assess system designs and source code for potential security and architectural vulnerabilities.

• Facilitate threat modeling sessions, secure design evaluations, and architecture review discussions.

• Implement and enhance AI-driven workflows for product security.

• Define and oversee security initiatives from the proof-of-concept stage to operational maturity.

• Create reports and presentations tailored for both technical and executive stakeholders.

• Document security architectures, policies, and industry best practices.

• Mentor and offer technical direction to members of the security team.

• Foster security awareness and champion the Security Champions program.

• Integrate security considerations across application, cloud, infrastructure, and identity layers from design through deployment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software security, with at least 2 years in security architecture or offensive security positions.

• Proficient in one or more programming languages: Java, Kotlin, C++.

• Strong grasp of application security principles, including authentication, authorization, cryptography, and secure communications.

• Familiarity with OWASP, NIST, BSIMM, STRIDE, and DREAD methodologies.

• Practical experience with OAuth 2.0, SAML, and OIDC.

• Understanding of cloud security within AWS environments.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

• Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows security in enterprise settings.

• Background in security testing and familiarity with commonly used security tools.

• Exceptional communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
