Appliance Delivery Assistant – Bilingual

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Assist in the secure loading and unloading of the truck at the warehouse, ensuring the correct load sequence (last delivery loaded first).

• Provide support for white glove deliveries by helping transport appliances (e.g., refrigerators, washers, dryers) to the preferred room of the customer.

• Aid in the unpacking of appliances, positioning them, and disposing of debris in accordance with company and regulatory standards.

• Assist with basic installation tasks, including leveling and connecting freestanding electric appliances to existing power and water sources.

• Help in removing and reinstalling appliances or entryway doors to enable access when needed.

• Utilize Android smartphones and company-approved applications for updates in the Delivery Management System (DMS), photo capture, and Proof of Delivery (POD) submissions.

• Keep accurate delivery updates through the driver application.

• Wear protective footwear covers (booties) and placemats to protect customer homes.

• Work collaboratively with the driver and supervisor to ensure efficient delivery completion.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in high-volume appliance or furniture delivery, including basic installation tasks.

• Knowledge of white glove service, including the connection and leveling of washers, dryers, and other large appliances.

• Comfortable lifting and maneuvering heavy appliances with a co-worker using appropriate equipment (e.g., dollies, hand trucks, straps).

• Understanding of safe handling procedures for large-format items and hazardous materials.

• Ability to adhere to all safety protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

• Physically capable of working in diverse weather conditions and environments (e.g., stairs, tight spaces).

• Willingness to wear necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) and utilize tools such as booties, ratchet straps, and floor runners.

• Capability to learn and operate handheld delivery tracking devices and mobile applications.

• Proficient in both English and French (written and spoken).

• High school diploma is required.
