This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Operate a 20–26 foot truck adhering to traffic laws and company policies.
• Perform pre-trip inspections and maintain precise trip logs to meet motor vehicle regulations.
• Securely load trucks with attention to route optimization (e.g., last stop loaded first); unload undeliverable items or returns with the appropriate documentation.
• Provide white glove delivery of appliances (e.g., refrigerators, washers, dryers), including room-of-choice placement, unpacking, and removal of debris.
• Conduct basic installations: level and connect freestanding electric appliances to existing power/water sources, execute plug-and-play tests, and verify proper functionality.
• Offer value-added services such as removal of old units, door reversals, and stacking of laundry appliances/pedestals.
• Remove doors or doorways as necessary to ensure safe and damage-free entry.
• Utilize a handheld device (Android) to update delivery status, capture photos, and submit Proof of Delivery (POD), achieving 99% compliance.
• Promptly report equipment or app issues to supervisors.
• Follow safe handling procedures and utilize appropriate tools (e.g., blankets, straps, dollies, booties) to avoid damage.
• Keep the truck clean and report maintenance issues as necessary.
• Comply with Canadian regulations regarding hazardous materials and the recycling of haul-away appliances.
• Re-inspect delivery paths post-installation to avoid property damage; report any incidents immediately.
• Document lost, stolen, or damaged items with photographic evidence and complete BOL/POD for freight claims.
• Escalate property damage (e.g., water, fire, injury) without delay and assist with resolution and documentation.
• Achieve key performance indicators (KPIs), including on-time delivery, completion rate, handheld compliance, and customer QOS scores.
• Collaborate with team members to accomplish 18–20 deliveries daily and support up to 15% additional volume during peak periods.
• Maintain a professional appearance and behavior consistent with company standards.
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
• Valid Class 3 driver’s license with a clean driving record (driver’s abstract required).
• Over 5 years of experience operating 20–26 foot trucks.
• More than 1 year of experience in appliance delivery and basic installations in a high-volume environment.
• Familiarity with white glove delivery standards and fundamental appliance installation tasks.
• Physically able to perform heavy lifting, navigate stairs, and manually handle large items using correct techniques and tools.
• Capable of working effectively with a delivery partner and following instructions.
• Proficient in using handheld devices and delivery management systems.
• Knowledgeable about safety protocols, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and hazardous material handling.
• Fluent in both English and French (written and spoken).
• High school diploma required.
• Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
• Able to remain calm under pressure, adaptable to schedule changes, and receptive to feedback.
