Appian Consultant – FMS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Comprehend user requirements and design as well as develop fundamental Appian solutions.

• Efficiently and thoroughly deliver complex development tasks.

• Enhance quality, speed, and overall productivity in Appian development efforts.

• Provide support for Foreign Military Sales (FMS) in a remote full-time role.

• Showcase work to product owners and other relevant stakeholders.

• Adhere to project methodologies, processes, protocols, and SDLC deployment cycles.

• Operate independently and collaboratively within a small team.

• Follow guidance from supervisors or client personnel to complete assignments.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1 to 2 years of experience in software development, ideally with some exposure to Appian.

• Knowledge of internal project methodologies, primarily agile events, to deliver functional code.

• Capability to work autonomously and within a small team environment.

• Proficiency in presenting to product owners and other stakeholders.

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as software engineering, engineering, or computer science.

• US Citizenship is mandatory.

• CompTIA Security+ certification is required by the first day of employment; candidates may obtain it post-interview but must complete it prior to the start date.

• Strong communication skills.

• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.

• General understanding of the assigned support area, customer domain, solution set, or internal HQ functions.

• Appian Level 1 certification is preferred or expected within the first month.

• Agile Certification.

• Basic SQL DDL and DML skills, including create, update, delete, and select/query operations.

• Familiarity with Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL as required by the project.

• Ability to map database modifications to Appian CDT via XSD.

• Capability to follow supervisor or client directives and complete assignments diligently.

• Familiarity with project team processes and protocols.

• Understanding of HIL development processes and SDLC, including the deployment cycle, with the ability to adapt processes accordingly.
