Appian Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Comprehend user requirements and design as well as develop fundamental Appian solutions.

• Execute complex development tasks effectively and thoroughly.

• Enhance quality, efficiency, and overall productivity in Appian development activities.

• Provide support to the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA).

• Operate autonomously and collaboratively within a small team.

• Deliver presentations to product owners and various stakeholders.

• Adhere to project methodologies, processes, protocols, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and deployment cycles.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1 to 2 years of experience in software development, ideally with some exposure to Appian.

• Familiarity with internal project methodologies (primarily agile events) to produce functional code.

• Demonstrates the capability to work independently as well as within a small team environment.

• Proficient in presenting to product owners and other stakeholders.

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as software engineering, engineering, or computer science.

• Strong communication skills.

• Proficient in using the Microsoft Office suite.

• General understanding of the assigned support area, including customer domains, solution sets, or internal headquarters functions.

• Appian Level 1 certification is preferred or must be obtained within the first month.

• Agile Certification.

• Basic SQL knowledge for Data Definition Language (DDL) and Data Manipulation Language (DML) operations; capability to perform select/search (CRUD) functions.

• Ability to work with Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL as required for the project.

• Competence in mapping database changes to Appian Common Data Types (CDT) via XML Schema Definition (XSD).

• Capacity to follow instructions from supervisors or client staff and complete tasks diligently.

• Awareness of and compliance with project team processes and protocols.

• Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), deployment cycles, and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) development processes.

• US Citizenship is required.
