API & Middleware Integration Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Egypt.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, debug, deploy, and provide support for scalable APIs and middleware integration solutions.

• Construct and sustain integrations utilizing Dell Boomi AtomSphere and Microsoft Azure API services.

• Develop high-performance, consumer-oriented API products adhering to API-first principles, employing JSON, XML, and OpenAPI/Swagger for data models and specifications.

• Implement both synchronous and asynchronous APIs, which include orchestration, security, metering, and management controls.

• Design and enhance integrations across SAP and various enterprise systems utilizing REST, SOAP, ESB, JMS, Kafka, databases, and ETL technologies.

• Provide support for API management solutions, with a preference for Broadcom/CA API Management.

• Collaborate with SAP and cross-functional teams throughout the stages of design, delivery, testing, and deployment.

• Monitor integration messages, troubleshoot failures, set up alerts, optimize performance, administer middleware, and manage multiple production support cases concurrently.

• Adhere to Agile, DevSecOps, API design, and development best practices.

• Maintain technical documentation, system requirements, design specifications, and support procedures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in the design, development, testing, delivery, and support of API and middleware integration.

• 3-5 years of experience in Dell Boomi development, as well as 2-5 years in Azure API development.

• Proven experience in implementing and supporting at least three complete projects.

• Hands-on experience in troubleshooting integration issues, monitoring messages and statuses, configuring alerts, tuning performance, and managing multiple concurrent production support cases.

• Strong proficiency in working with REST and SOAP APIs, including JSON and XML for API data models and specifications, and generating API specifications using OpenAPI or Swagger.

• Experience in API orchestration, implementing security controls for APIs, and applying API-first design methodologies and best practices.

• Experience functioning in Agile delivery settings and collaborating with cross-functional project and support teams during integration design, development, testing, delivery, and production support.

• Proficiency in English.

• Familiarity with ESB, JMS, Kafka, MDM, ETL technologies, SQL databases, or Microsoft Event Hub.

• Experience with Java, Groovy, or JavaScript for integration development.

• Previous experience with SAP ERP.

• Experience with SAP IS-Auto or SAP IS Retail integrations, especially within automotive or retail sectors.

• Familiarity with Broadcom/CA API Management.
